A chance visit to the little known state of Madhya Pradesh ended up in an eternal love affair. Like a woman in love, the writer kept returning to the forest of Kanha until she had an irresistible urge to romance the entire state. Over a decade, she travelled the entire length and breadth of the state, going to places tourists seldom visit. Her journey resulted in not merely visiting new places and being astonished by the geological, archaeological wonders, and the riches of rock art, wildlife, forests and people, but in course of time she discovers an unsuspected new self within.
